Is it any wonder??

50...

50 States in the USA

50 Bottles of beer on the wall

50 Cent (the singer or the coin, your choice)

50 Things on my list of things to do today

50 Chocolate bars in my pantry

...yes, that is correct, I have 50 chocolate bars sitting in my pantry!!  Mark brought them home from school as a fundraiser and he needs to sell them for one dollar each!  We had to pay up front for the case of them, and it's probably a good thing that we did, because I think we are short about 6 at this point!!  I have only had one, but their are five other people in my house, so all I can say is if you want to buy a chocolate bar from Mark, you better act fast!!

Here is another number for you - 5...

...5, the average age of the children I saw ordering Ice Caps, Mochas & Lattes from Tim Hortons tonight!!  If you ever wonder why this world is going to Hell in a handbasket, well I have the answer...we are giving our children, starting at the ripe old age of 3, the most addictive coffee beverages that have full grown men lining up for 20 minutes in a drive-thru - nothing like starting them young!!  I am not kidding when I say that, I was in Tims tonight to get my kids some Tim Bits after I decided it would be a good idea to take them all to Lloydminster, so I could get a hair cut.  I was standing in line when a mom came in with two little boys, around 3 and 5 years old, and she said to them "do you both want Ice Caps?"....seriously???  Then I had to go back in after I doled out the doughnuts to my kids because they gave me the wrong muffin, and I stood in line behind a dad with a daughter, about 9 years old, and she begged him for either a Mocha or a Latte...and he ordered her the Latte!!  Now, I am not exactly a health nut kind of mom myself - I have 14 varieties of cereal in my pantry, and about 10 of them are the sugary kind - but even I know better than to by my children drinks that are laced with caffine and God knows what else Tim Hortons throws in there to make their drinks so addicting!

Just while I am on this kick about giving kids things that probably affect them in more ways than one could imagine, is it just me or do we seem to give every bratty kid in this world a label?  I know more kids out there with ADD, ADHD, ODD, Red Dye Sensitivities, Food Sensitivities, and even when we avoid all the substances that they can't have, or hire them each an aide - and listen, I plan to work as an aide when I am done with the day home, so I do hope there are still a couple kids who need my assistance :) - they never seem to act the way they should be!  Perhaps, they are more like my kids, just spoiled rotten!  Perhaps, I could convince the world that my kids have ADD, ODD, Lactose Intolerance & Sugar Sensitivities, and then they will all understand why my seven year old son has a meltdown in the middle of the grocery store when I don't buy the Bear Paw cookies!!!

At 10:24 p.m., far past his bedtime, I will now go and change the diaper of my three year old, soother sucking, doughnut eating brat son...but at least he did not have an Ice Cap in his sippy cup tonight!!
